After a long time out of tune, my piano is back in tune!
In honor of the event, and since I am currently working on several of Frederic Chopin's nocturnes, I found this statement by Chopin:
"Simplicity is the final achievement. After one has played a vast quantity of notes and more notes, it is simplicity that emerges as the crowning reward of art."
Much could be said on how this applies to life. However, suffice it to say that I know when my playing of a Chopin nocturne, or any fine piece, is improving because it start to sound strangely simple.
